Orbotech S.A. is presenting, in Hall A2 Booth 475, the Company's innovative solutions designed to move bare printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturers ahead with increased operational efficiency, yields and profitability.
Being demonstrated are Orbotech's latest models of Discovery™ automated optical inspection (AOI) systems, Paragon™ laser direct imaging (LDI) systems, and Frontline PCB Solutions' CAM/Engineering software. Also being shown for the first time by Orbotech at Productronica is its newly acquired Newprint inkjet legend printers.
'With the superior capabilities available in our latest models, together with our focus on providing highly professional local support, we look forward to helping our European customers move ahead by making a real impact on their bottom line', said Mr. Yoav Harel, President of Orbotech S.A. 'With our enabling solutions, our customers can achieve higher yields on even the most complex products and capitalize on new business opportunities while at the same time increasing operational efficiencies to meet aggressive cost and time-to-market challenges.'
Discovery™ AOI Series ' Celebrating 1000 Sold
Discovery - the world's best selling AOI series - is equipped with the very latest inspection technology. This includes a high power optical head, enhanced hardware and state-of-the art algorithms which have been specifically developed to maximize performance on today's multi-layer board (MLB), high density interconnect (HDI), BGA/CSP, FC-BGA and phototool applications. With Discovery's newest capabilities, users can have simple, highly intelligent and more powerful AOI performance than ever before.
A comprehensive range of Discovery™ models is available for European manufacturers. This includes the high performance Discovery 8800 for advanced HDI applications down to 30ìm and Discovery OLB with integrated verification bridge for mid-volume, QTA and sampling producers.
Paragon™ LDI Series
With the introduction of its latest Paragon™ models, Orbotech continues to provide breakthrough LDI performance with high throughput at high resolution while continuing to use low sensitivity photo resists. This makes it ideally suited for superior imaging of the very complex PCB designs on high density interconnect (HDI) and rigid-flex PCBs which is less efficient with conventional phototool-based imaging techniques . For high volume HDI, flex and rigid-flex, the Paragon™-8800 system achieves high imaging speed of up to 160 prints/hour coupled with superior accuracy of +/- 0.5mil.
Newprint Inkjet Legend Printers
Orbotech's newly acquired Newprint inkjet legend printer series has reduced process steps compared to traditional methods and the ability to print both sides of the board in succession. Featured capabilities include unique integrated UV curing and registration as well as dynamic scaling prior to printing the legend. Orbotech's legend printers are remarkably simple to operate, clean, flexible and have practically no lead-time requirements. The systems use commercially available, MIL approved inks.
