SHANGHAI, CHINA, MARCH 15, 2016 | ORBOTECH LTD is showing a range of its latest digital production solutions at the CPCA Show this week in Shanghai, China. At the show, Orbotech is showcasing, for the first time in North China, its Sprint™ 200 Inkjet Printer system, and is demonstrating its Ultra Fusion™ 200 AOI and Ultra PerFix™ 120 AOS systems.

Orbotech is also introducing the new Nuvogo™ 780 DI (Direct Imaging) system at the CPCA show. The Nuvogo 780, optimized for MLB and HDI PCB makers, is targeted to meet manufacturers’ cost-per-print needs, even when using high-power resist. It features Orbotech’s advanced MultiWave Laser Technology™, offering additional production flexibility by enabling PCB manufacturers to image on a broad range of resists.

The Sprint 200 Inkjet Printer is Orbotech’s new state-of-the-art mass production digital legend inkjet printing solution for PCB production. It delivers excellent print quality on a wide range of substrate thicknesses and types, including rigid and flex. Automated or manual, this advanced printer brings an outstanding cost-effective solution for today’s and future PCB legend and serialization needs.

Also on display in the Orbotech booth are Ultra Fusion 200, which delivers leading-edge AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) performance for IC substrate and advanced HDI production down to 15um. Featuring powerful Multi-Image Technology, the system improves process efficiency by reducing the rate of false alarms up to 70% compared with conventional AOI. In addition, Orbotech is showing the Ultra PerFix 120 AOS (Automated Optical Shaping) system for achieving fast, highly accurate shaping of excess copper defects down to 10μm resolution on advanced IC substrates and Flex applications.

“Increased PCB application complexity does not mean that the PCB production process also needs to be more complex,” remarked Mr. Gaby Waisman, President of Orbotech Pacific Ltd. “In fact, the Orbotech integrated approach to PCB manufacturing helps to increase yield with higher quality and more flexibility while reducing manufacturing complexity and costs.”

You can see live demos of the Sprint 200 as well as the Ultra Fusion 200 and the Ultra PerFix 120 at the CPCA show, China’s largest PCB and electronic assembly industrytrade exhibition, March 15-17, 2016inHall E7, Booth 7A52, at the New International Expo Centre in Shanghai, China.
